Door County Activities: Kiwanis Travelogue Visits the People of Poland

The Kiwanis Club of Northern Door will host the next program in their Travelogue film series on Friday, March 20 at 7:30 pm at the First Baptist Church of Sister Bay. The upcoming film journeys to the Baltic coast country of Poland and will be presented by Rus Muntz. Everyone is invited to come along on a fascinating journey, from the "Cradle of Solidarity" to the centuries-old beauty of Krakow!

The film, The People of Poland, produced and narrated by Charles Hartman, will provide insight into all aspects of Poland. From the windswept beaches of the Baltic coast to the spectacular summits of the High Tatra Mountains. The rapture of a Chopin recital and the visual excitement of Poland’s renowned poster art. The pageant of Polish history, from the victory over the Teutonic Knights at Greenwald in 1410 to the breakdown of the Communist Bloc and the end of the Iron Curtain. Welcome to Poland, Old and New!

Show admission is $7 or $36 for a six-ticket pass which is valid for admission to any of the remaining films 2008-2009 season travel film lineup. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
