Door County Activities: T. Ashwells Celebrates Mediterranean Nights with Kaheena Belly Dance Troupe

Everyone is invited to follow the Silk Road to T. Ashwells in Ellison Bay for an exotic evening replete with belly dancers and the best in Mediterranean fare. From Thursday, January 29 through Saturday, January 31, Kaheena Belly Dance Troupe and T.Ashwells Restaurant are celebrating their 8th annual Mediterranean Nights.

Kaheena Belly Dance Troupe has performed throughout Wisconsin, dancing in American Cabaret Style. The troupe also holds the awards for Minnesota State Belly Dance Champion, as well as second place runner up.

From the sensual sway of the hips to the artistic flair of the hands, the allure of belly dancing has captivated its audiences across the ages. This ancient dance form has existed for thousands of years and has heralded in events such as the growth of new crops, the birth of a baby and weddings. Raqs Sharqi, Chiftetelli, Oriental or more commonly known as Belly Dance in the United States has become an exiting new way to workout and celebrates femininity.
