Door County Activities: Trolley Tours Highlight Peninsula’s Winters

As the quiet season blankets the peninsula, the Door County Trolley’s bells announce a full schedule of activities and events throughout the winter season. Meandering the county’s back-roads and byways, the distinctive red trolleys invite guests to experience the beauty and romance of winter on the Door Peninsula.

Swirling snowflakes are the perfect backdrop for Door County Trolley’s “Winter Wonderland Tours.” Continuing Saturdays through March 28, the weather-friendly trolley will tour and taste some of the county’s most distinctive wineries. Warmed by award-winning varietals, guests will bundle up under a blanket for a sleigh ride, gliding through Door County’s snowy countryside. The Wonderland Tour will conclude with a fireside luncheon served at the romantic White Gull Inn in Fish Creek.

From beginning to end, the “Progressive Dinner Outing” is a treat for the senses. Guests will board the Door County Trolley for a surprise destination where hors d’oeuvres and cocktails are served. Dinner is served at the Inn at Kristofer’s in Sister Bay. The evening concludes with a decadent dessert served at one of Door County’s romantic inns. The Progressive Dinners will continue through May 23.

The Door County Trolley is available for private chartered tours and special events throughout the year. From birthday parties to bachelor bashes, festivals and family reunions, custom tours or coach groups, the Door County Trolley can accommodate every request.
