Door County Actor in Milwaukee Production of Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding

Actor and Door County native Jim Lautenbach will appear in the acclaimed production Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding May 26 through 31 at Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Ballroom.

Lautenbach has performed locally with Door Shakespeare, Door Off-Broadway, Isadoora Theatre, Green Bay Community Theatre and at Third Avenue Playhouse. In Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding, Lautenbach takes on the role of Father Mark, a progressive priest who tries his best to be part of the gang.

Lautenbach originally performed the role in Milwaukee after auditioning for the production in April 2008. Since then he has performed in the show with tours to Omaha, Minneapolis and New Orleans.

Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding is one of the longest-running comedies in American theatrical history and is credited with originating the “environmental theatre” craze, as most of the show turns on audience interaction. As “invited guests,” audience members are seated for a wedding ceremony and enjoy a rousing reception full of dancing, champagne toasts, an Italian dinner and a slice of wedding cake.

The Turner Hall Ballroom is located at 1032 N. 4th St. in Milwaukee, across the street from the Bradley Center sports arena.

Performances are at 7:30 pm May 26 through 30, and at 6:30 pm Sunday, May 31. Additionally, there are two 2 pm matinees on Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31. Tickets are $65 or $75 for VIP table seating closest to the stage. For more information or to reserve tickets, visit
