Door County Acupuncturist Returns from Nepal

Alison Beadell, licensed acupuncturist and owner of Wood Rabbit Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine, LLC, has recently returned from a World Healing Exchange in Nepal in conjunction with Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB).

Beadell spent two months traveling throughout Nepal with 17 other acupuncturists of AWB. The group treated more than 500 patients through both individual acupuncture treatments and community-style auricular acupuncture. The majority of the treatments used the community-style protocol, which treats patients in a group setting and consists of the insertion of small, stainless steel, disposable acupuncture needles into five points on the outer surface of a person’s ear. This protocol can aid with anxiety, stress, energy, pain and sleep among other issues.

The acupuncturists offered free acupuncture clinics in remote Himalayan villages and local monasteries, met with and learned from traditional healers, and provided training to local people.

Beadell has returned to her local practice and will treat patients by appointment at 3290 Gibraltar Road, Fish Creek. For more information, call 920.421.4221 or visit woodrabbitacu.com.
