Door County Adopt A Soldier Holds Fundraising Event at Sawyer Park

The Door County Adopt A Soldier Program will host a fundraising event at the Sawyer Park Pavilion in Sturgeon Bay on June 11, 11 am – 5 pm. The program sends care packages eight times a year to local Door and Kewaunee County troops. All items are donated by the local community and some corporate sponsors. There will be live music from Highland Road, hotdogs, brats, hamburgers, beverages, bucket raffle, merchandise, and tours of the Sturgeon Bay Coast Guard ship from 1 to 4 pm. There will also be a sponsor box where people can pay $20 to cover the shipping of the box. They are hoping to raise $8,000 to pay for all of the shipping for the year.
