Door County Airport Offering Scholarships to EAA’s Air Academy Basic Camp

The Friends of Ephraim/Gibraltar Airport are offering two, one-week, all-expenses-paid scholarships to EAA’s Air Academy Basic Camp. The scholarship competition is open to boys and girls, ages 14 – 15, who are enrolled in any Door County high school or in the home-school network.

The camp offers an introductory experience to aviation through “hands on” experiments, classroom and media presentations, specialized laboratory activities and demonstrations.

Student candidates are asked to write a letter of application describing their aviation interests and aspirations. The letter should also include their preference for the week, either June 28 – July 3, July 8 – 13, or July 15 – 20.

The deadline for submission is March 15. Letters should be addressed to Gary Chaudoir, 10130 Old Stage Ln., Sister Bay.
