Approximately 2,000 shoppers and collectors are expected to pursue antiques and vintage finds at the Door County Antique Show, July 23 – 25 at Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek. The show’s hours are 10 am to 5 pm each day. Thirty-five dealers will share smiles and stories with locals and visitors who are anxious to buy the unique items of many eras, the mid-1800s through mid-century.
There will also be a crystal and China repair booth that will fix chips. Items for sale include: early furniture, 18th & 19th century paintings, postcards, ladies accessories, Mettlach steins, jewelry, textiles, tools, Americana, Lalique, Steuben, and much more.
The Sister Bay Lions Club has sponsored this event since 1975 to raise money and awareness for the Leader Dog for the Blind program. Since 1939 the Lions Club has been providing dog guides to people who are blind and visually impaired. Maggie Weir, of Sturgeon Bay, has arranged for the dogs and their handlers to volunteer their time during the show.
Admission is $5 and free for those under 16; this is good for all three days. For more information call 715.355.5144. Gibraltar High School is located at 3924 Hwy 42 in Fish Creek.
