Door County Art News: 22nd Annual Christmas Folk Art Fair

Join the Door County YMCA for their 22nd annual Christmas Folk Art Fair on Sunday, November 23 from 9 am – 3 pm at the Sturgeon Bay Program Center at 1900 Michigan Street. This fair will feature handmade works of art from Door County artists and fine crafts persons including watercolor paintings, canvas prints, clocks, carved santas, jewelry, homemade candles and soaps, birdhouses, Packer paintings, greeting cards and more.

This is a great opportunity to do some local Christmas shopping, browse through displays of fine art and enjoy a fabulous spread of food including baked goods, soups, sandwiches and more, while supporting the Door County YMCA Youth in Government Program. Proceeds from the Folk Art Fair make it possible for Youth in Government students to attend a four-day legislative session in Madison each spring.

Admission is $2 for attendees ages 16 and older. Door prizes will be given out every half hour and a silent auction will also be taking place. Gift-wrapping and free childcare will also be offered.

Booths are still available for artists who would like to participate. If you would like to reserve a booth, donate food or silent auction items, please contact Jami Stutting at the Door County YMCA at 920.743.4949.
