Door County Art Scene: FOG Holiday Arts Fair

Looking for that perfect holiday gift that is “made locally?”

Many great gifts that are local, handmade and original will be available at the Holiday Art Fair, sponsored by Friends of Gibraltar. Guests will find a wonderful selection of arts and crafts created by many talented artists in Door County. Shop the Holiday Art Fair, Friday November 28, 10 am – 5 pm and Saturday November 29, 10 am – 4 pm at the Sister Bay Village Hall.

Artists will be showing the following work: beaded jewelry by Jennifer Dahl, Mary Beth Mead, Shelly Vanderlinden and Jamie Mead; crocheted jewelry by Angela Lensch; fused glass jewelry by Kathryn Stanqszek; pottery by Jeanne and David Aurelius; beautiful woolens, knit and woven scarves, sweaters and hats by Nora Ahlen; leather purses and silk quilted scarves by Mary Ellen Sisulak; watercolors by Kari Anderson and David Hackett; oil painting and pencil drawings by Judy Nelson; handmade soaps by Bonnie Abramson; handmade crafts by Phyllis Fitzgerald and friends; Santa carvings by Pat and Ken Klitzman and Erik Rinkleff; small exquisite boxes by Nancy Akerly; hand painted chairs by Marcy Faber; as well as Recycle Door County bags, notecards and magnets, t-shirts and sweatshirts designed by Gibraltar student artists.

Let the season begin with the festivities of the Holiday Art Fair. Great food is served from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm, and everyone is invited to sign up for the Gift Basket Prize. Participation supports Friends of Gibraltar (FOG) in bringing residencies for the arts, sciences, and literature to Gibraltar Students and the community.
