Door County Arts: Settlement Shops Hold Fine Art Fair

The annual Settlement Shops Fall Fine Art Fair will be Saturday September 27 from 10 am – 5 pm. Local and regional artists will display their wears and work along the meandering path that encircles the Settlement Shops.

Artists include Door County’s Katherine Faulds with her handmade jewelry and also from Door County Roberta Champeau with oil paintings and calligraphy, as well as Daryl Asbury of Fish Creek with original paintings and Ellison Bay’s Jamie Mead and her handmade jewelry. A new Door County artist this fall to the Settlement Art Fair is photographer Ben Konarzewski from Sturgeon Bay. Local oil painters Rob Story and William Gram will display their new works. From Madison, jewelers Kathy and Walter Addie will offer an assortment of sterling silver jewelry many with precious stones. Wisconsin artist Mark Dilley will show his wildlife paintings and photography.

Along with great art and artists, Door County Private Chef will be on hand to offer a delicious lunch and beverages.

Local musician Jay Whitney will add to the festivities with his blues and rock n roll music.

During the art fair, Sweeties Pies Pie Shop will be announcing the results of a taste test process that went on all summer to determine which Larry Berry four berry pie is the best. The winning pie will be available for purchase.

The area’s shops will celebrate fall with a variety of specials and sales in conjunction with Fish Creek’s annual Inside Outside Days.

The Settlement Shops annual Fall Fine Art Fair will be a day to delight the senses. The Settlement Shops located in a serene country setting is just one mile south of downtown Fish Creek on Highway 42, next to the Settlement Inn.
