Door County Brewing Company Releases New Farmhouse Ales

Door County Brewing Company announces the release of two new saisons, Bière de Seigle and Pastoral, now available in Door County.

Inspired by their surroundings, families and landscape, Door County Brewing prides itself on pushing the edge of imagination and senses by creating a one-of-a-kind product, and the two newest beers are no different.

Bière de Seigle is a Belgian-inspired farmhouse ale brewed with two types of rye and our Belgian saison yeast that gives it just a hint of clove. Amid notes of citrus, green grass and a subtle spiciness from the rye malt, Bière de Seigle is both crisp and complex.

In Door County, hard seasonal workers forged our heritage. Pastoral is a celebration of the seasons and the land—from farmhouses past to fields present. Not just any beer, Pastoral is a traditional Belgian-style Farmhouse ale.

Both refreshing and dry, with hints of pepper, citrus and green grass, the recipe is not just about the beauty in simplicity but also the pride in tradition. Pastoral is brewed in honor of the French and Belgian farmhouse breweries before us. Smooth with a slightly hoppy finish, this simple malt bill showcases our Belgian saison yeast, proving sometimes less is more.
