Door County Bridge Club Starts Season Aug. 3

The Door County Bridge Club will resume for another season of duplicate bridge on Aug. 3 for vaccinated players only. Sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), these tournament-style duplicate contract bridge games will be held every Tuesday, 12:30 pm, through the end of September, at Stella Maris Catholic Church, 7710 Hwy 42 in Egg Harbor.

Barbara Piester, an ACBL-sanctioned certified director and life master, oversees the games, during which eligible players can receive masterpoints. Special games allow players to earn additional points, silver points and red points. The game will be scored as it’s played, with results available immediately afterward and at acbl.org.

No reservations are required, but arriving with a partner is encouraged. Solo players should contact Piester in advance at 920.868.1954 or 920.868.6113 to arrange for a partner.
