Six of Wisconsin’s coolest campgrounds will be featured on an upcoming episode of Discover Wisconsin. The nation’s longest-running tourism TV show is showcasing a handful of local camping destinations and the little things that make them stand out from your average campground. The episode, called “Destination Camp-cation,” airs March 11-12 and was produced in partnership with Camping For the Fun of It and Discover Wisconsin. The program airs statewide on Fox Sports Wisconsin on Saturday, March 11 at 10 am.
Hosted by Mariah Haberman, Marie Justice and Eric Paulsen, the crew makes its way across the state, visiting some of the best, most kid-friendly campgrounds.
Viewers tag along with Paulsen to Rustic Timbers campground near Egg Harbor in Door County. It’s a beautiful place with plenty of fun activities, including a dog show, bouncy houses and a bounce pad, a pool, and a shop full of candy and ice cream. Other campgrounds in the episode include Smokey Hollow in Lodi, River Bend RV Resort just outside of Watertown, Rivers Edge Campground in Stevens Point, Annie’s Campground in Gresham and O’Neil Creek campground in Chippewa Falls.
