Door County Closings and Cancellations for Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019

The National Weather Service reported a temperature of -16 degrees at the Ephraim-Gibraltar airport Wednesday morning, with wind chills making it feel more like 35 to 55 below 0 across Door County. The cold air is expected to last through Thursday.

In these conditions frostbite can occur in as little as 5-15 minutes, so if you must go outside you should cover all exposed skin and wear several layers of clothing. Protect your pets from the cold and give them plenty of water.
