Door County Community Foundation Presenting Grant to Purchase Knee Scooters

The Door County Community Foundation – through the Marge and Mike McCoy Family Foundation, the David and Nancy Danis Fund, the Kerley Family Foundation, and the Eleanor R. Dean and John L. Gosney Fund – has awarded a grant of $6,500 to Neighbor to Neighbor to purchase knee scooters, labeling and forms.

The knee scooters are now in stock and ready to be loaned to individuals in the community. To borrow a knee scooter or other equipment, or to donate equipment to Neighbor to Neighbor, call 920.743.7800. 

The local nonprofit Neighbor to Neighbor provides short-term medical-equipment loans to people of all ages, peer companions for homebound elderly individuals, respite care for primary caregivers, and the Lemonade Club cancer-survivor support group. All services are provided free of charge.
