Door County Connect Launches Free Wednesday Transportation Service

Door County Connect (formerly called ADRC Bus/Van Service) launched its Connector Link service earlier this month. It’s a deviated fixed-route service that will operate in the City of Sturgeon Bay every Wednesday at no cost to riders.

“Our goal is to meet the needs of our riders and local businesses by providing additional services that are affordable,” said Pam Busch, transportation manager for Door County’s Transportation Department. “We are grateful for our bus-stop sponsors, which include the Door County Medical Center, Pick ’n Save and Tadych’s Econofoods.”

Other bus stops include multifamily residential areas where significant ridership has been tracked with Door County Connect and Door 2 Door Rides. Volunteer drivers and aides are needed to ensure the success of the Connector Link service.
