Warm temperatures this week has caused what little snow we had to disappear in much of the county. There are a few snow showers in this week’s weather forecast so we will continue the ski report while there is still hope. Here are the current trail reports for all of Door County:
Potawatomi State Park
Conditions: Poor conditions, but still can be rock skied – meaning don’t use your best skis! Light dusting of corn snow on ice, some bare spots.
Crossroads at Big Creek
Conditions: No report. Presumably there is no skiing.
Whitefish Dunes State Park
Conditions: Snow melted, no skiing
Peninsula State Park
Conditions: There is not enough snow to groom ski trails and snowshoe trails are in poor condition due to lack of snow. Hiking is allowed on all trails in the park at this time. Please be careful as some trails are very icy.
Newport State Park
Conditions: No report. Presumably there is no skiing.
