Door County Democratic Party’s Potluck Picnic is Aug. 22

The Democratic Party of Door County will hold its annual potluck picnic fundraiser Aug. 22, 4-8 pm, at Sawyer Park in Sturgeon Bay.

Hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, all the fixings, soda and water will be provided. Attendees are asked to provide a dish to pass prior to the 5:30 pm serving time. They may also bring their own alcoholic beverages.

Guest speakers include Amanda Stuck and Seth Hoffmeister. Stuck is running for Congress in the 8th District, opposing Mike Gallagher. She has been a strong advocate in the Assembly, working to protect paper-industry jobs and leading the charge against deals for Foxconn.

Hoffmeister is the organizer and political director of Wisconsin Conservation Voters, which works to recruit new conservation voters, develop leaders and engage activists on conservation issues.Admission is $10 per adult; kids are free.
