Door County Education News: High School Collects Magazines for The Big Read

Sophomore English students at Sturgeon Bay High School will be reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer as a part of the 2009 Door County Big Read. Comparing notes on their summer reading, teacher Gordy Saron and librarian Mary Ann Blahnik noted that the July 14 edition of Time magazine carried a comprehensive article about Mark Twain. Now they would like to collect enough copies of the magazine to provide background for their students. Subscribers who have finished with the magazine are invited to drop them off at the high school office.
