Mark Stevenson

Education: Green Bay Preble High School; United States Air Force; some college

Occupation: Retired; formerly worked as a building inspector for the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, where I became a section chief supervising all of the state’s commercial building inspectors

Community involvement: Gardner Town Board; Rice Lake School Board

What skills and perspective do you bring to the board? I bring the ability to listen and not make rash decisions.

What priorities does the board need to address? I think elected officials need to realize that they are elected to represent the people and not their own agenda. This happens all over Door County and can be seen in some board members in our own township.

I have an issue with smart growth. The concept is great, but why do people move to rural areas? To get away from zoning issues!!!! Now look what’s happening.

Bob Steinberger

What skills and perspective do you bring to the board? I was encouraged to run for supervisor by friends. I started my own business in 1974, which we grew to a business of more than 30 employees, and I feel that I have the leadership and experience required for the position. I am retired; therefore, I can dedicate more time for town duties to better serve the residents of Gardner.
