Door County Event – Historical Presentation Features the Honold Family

The Jacksonport Historical Society will hold their last family presentation of the year on Wednesday, October 22. The grandson of Charles and Cora, Mitch Honold, along with his wife, Dawn, will present on their family’s history.

The story begins in 1891 when Charles Honold left his family in Germany to pursue the American Dream. Settling in Piper City, Illinios, Honold worked as a farm hand and met Cora Movern. The coupled married in 1895 and moved to Baileys Harbor in 1898.

The Jacksonport Historical Society invites you to attend this program sharing memories and stories of family, friends, and neighbors with the Honold Families at the Jacksonport Town Hall on County V in Jacksonport. The program begins at 7 pm and refreshments will be served.
