Door County Festival of Nature Highlights the Best of the Peninsula

The 6th annual Door County Festival of Nature is just around the bend. The three-day showcase of the county’s natural areas will take participants on hikes, paddles, and tours of the peninsula’s nature preserves, retreats, waters and other hidden treasures.

Registration begins Thursday evening, May 22 at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall, followed by a presentation on the Hines Emerald Dragonfly.

The festival is lead by some of the area’s foremost experts on the local environment, including representatives from Crossroads at Big Creek, The Nature Conservancy, The Clearing, Door County Land Trust, and the Ridges Sanctuary.

Wildflower hikes, geology workshops, birding trips, and kayak tours are all part of the experience aimed at educating people about the many intricacies of the county’s ecology and connecting people to nature.
