Door County Folk Festival

The 31st Annual Door County Folk Festival will takes place July 7 – 11. More than 60 different events are scheduled for the five-day weekend, including dance, music, and singing workshops as well as dance parties, dance demonstrations, and children’s activities. Also scheduled for the event is a fish boil dinner in the Sister Bay Park on Saturday, July 10 followed by music and dancing on the Sister Bay pier.

Although many folk festival participants are dancers with many years of experience, there will be dance workshops in beginning and intermediate levels. Dance partners are not required for many of the dances taught. The festival features 15 dance instructors from around the US, Canada, and Bulgaria.

Most of the action of the festival is centered in or near the Sister Bay Village Hall. Workshops will also take place at the Ephraim Village Hall, the Baileys Harbor Town Hall and First Baptist Church in Sister Bay.
