Door County Historical Museum to Open July 13 for 81st Season

The Door County Historical Museum, at the corner of 4th Avenue and Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay, will open July 13 for its 81st season, but the pandemic has made it necessary to reduce the number of days it’s open, its hours and the number of visitors allowed in at a time.

Until further notice, the museum will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and visitors must make reservations for one of three time slots on those days: 10 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. A maximum of 12 visitors will be allowed into the museum during each of the time slots, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Staff members will take reservations by phone at 920.743.5809 on the open days for any open time slot through Oct. 31. Visitors must wear masks and maintain social distancing while in the museum.
