Door County Humane Society Benefit

Everyone is invited join in the fun of a festive fund raising benefit for the Door County Humane Society on Saturday, September 27, hosted by the Top of the Hill Shops of Fish Creek at the junction of Highway 42 and County Highway F.

The sixth annual Taste of the Top, which opens at 10 am and continues until 6 pm, promises to bring a lively crowd for a day of wine tasting, food, music and relaxed shopping. Joining Top of the Hill merchants for the day’s events are the Knights of Columbus with their famous barbeque beef sandwiches, The Oilerie of Fish Creek, Katie’s Truffles, Country Ovens, and wine tasting hosted by the Wine Gallery of Fish Creek. The Main Course will be giving demonstrations of wonderful new gadgets and equipment for cooks, and disc jockey, Michael Dybala, back by popular demand, will keep things lively with your favorite tunes.

For pet lovers, Carrie Vassilev, Director of the Door County Humane Society, will be Master of Ceremonies for the Annual Pet Parade to be held on the front lawn of the Top of the Hill Shops at 2 pm. Everyone is encouraged to bring their four legged friends to be part of the fun.

Raffle tickets to benefit the Humane Society will be sold during the festivities, as well as in the Top of the Hill Shops prior to the event. Numerous prizes will be awarded throughout the day, with the Grand Prize drawing held at 6 pm. This year’s Grand Prize is a beautiful, handmade basket by Katie Eyrise of Fish Creek Basketry, filled with over $500 worth of donated gifts from Top of the Hill Shops and other area merchants.
