Door County Humane Society Featured Pets

Buckwheat needs a home.

What is it about that great smell that puppies have? Soft and warm, our little BUCKWHEAT already has a Lab’s curiosity and sense of fun. He’s captured the hearts of the entire staff at the shelter and we hope yours as well! Buckwheat is eight-weeks-old, a stray from the City of Sturgeon Bay. Adoption cost is $60; adopter agrees to have him neutered when age permits.

No, not the most dignified cat pose, but MONK is just that kind of laid-back guy. If we had recliners in the humane society lobby, Monk would be there watching Animal Planet. He’s a neutered six- to seven-month-old cat from Nasewaupee who is happy to be held and purrs up a storm.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD) in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Mon., Wed., Fri., Sat. and Sun. from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit http://www.dooranimals.com.
