Door County Humane Society Featured Pets

Sharp came into the shelter in August 2009, and has been patrolling the lobby for more than a year. He is quite a handsome boy, medium-length gray and white hair complemented with light green eyes. Sharp watches other cats go to their forever homes and wonders when he will have that wonderful experience himself. As a 4-6 year old adult cat, he’ll do best in a home with adults.

Sweet Shirley arrived in November 2010, found in Southern Door shivering with cold. She’s a classic blue tick hound, 1-2 years old with a superb nose that will get her into all kinds of trouble without a safe place to run and play. Shirley engages with new friends very quickly, and has been with younger children. She is to be adopted as a family pet, not as a hunting dog. Shirley loves her toys, but does not play well with cats.

Adoption costs are $85 for cats and kittens, $120 for dogs, and $60 for puppies. The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD)
in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit http://www.dooranimals.com.
