Door County Humane Society Surpasses $100,000 in Michelson Found Saving Pets Challenge

The Door County Humane Society (DCHS) exceeded their goal of raising $50,000 in the Michelson Found Saving Pets Challenge. This challenge consisted of hundreds of animal welfare organizations competing to see who could raise the most money for their cause in a certain amount of time.

DCHS came in fourth place, raising more than $100,000 in donations. They will receive $10,000 in bonus money for their placement.

“We cannot thank the Door County community enough for their generosity and support. DCHS received more than 400 donations to the Challenge. Without your backing we could not have placed fourth nationally. This truly demonstrates that many people in the peninsula really care about our organization and animals,” said April Delfosse, DCHS communications and development coordinator.
