Door County Humane Society’s Featured Pets of ‘09

Cashew

Throughout the course of 2009, the Pulse has been highlighting animals at the Door County Humane Society that are in need of new homes. At press time for this issue, 16 dogs, 7 puppies and 13 cats that graced the pages of this newspaper thus far in 2009 have found homes.

Laci

One of these animals was, Kaelei, an Australian Shepherd/Beagle mix that was adopted by Rachael Stenz’s family. Of the newest addition to the family, Stenz shares, “She is potty trained already, which I am surprised she learned that fast, and she always get into trouble with my son…who just adores her.”

Stenz concludes, “We all love her so much.”

While Kaelei has found her forever home, there are still a few of our furry friends in search of the same. Take another look at Sharp, Laci, Buddy, Cashew, Candi, Rufus and Gabe, who could still be your new best friend.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD)
in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit http://www.dooranimals.com.
