Door County Land Trust Continues Campaign

Protect What You Love. This is the message from the Door County Land Trust during their new member campaign, which continues with a new message Become a Member in December. For any amount, people may join the Door County Land Trust and receive the perks of membership. In addition, every donation will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the value of each donated contribution.

The Protect What You Love campaign has solid success already. During the national day of giving known as #GivingTuesday, the Door County Land Trust launched a fundraiser through Facebook and online. The campaign raised more than $4,200 in a single day, largely from new members and first-time supporters. Every dollar was matched by an enthusiastic donor. With the outpouring of support during the first day, the campaign goal to raise $10,000 and 150 new members by Jan. 31 is within reach. The Land Trust invites people to donate any amount online, by phone, or through Facebook to become a member.

“This campaign is truly about involving more people in protecting what we love. By becoming a member in December, everyone has the chance to learn about the Door County Land Trust, receive newsletters, attend special hikes and events, and get to know our organization,” said Development Director Cinnamon Rossman.
