A benefit concert and dinner to benefit the Door County Land Trust will be held July 20, 5-9 pm, at the Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor. Washington Island singer/songwriter Julian Hagen will perform alongside legends Tommy Burroughs, Eddie Smith and Kevin Jones. A buffet of paella, fresh salads, tapas, gazpacho and antipasto will be served at 5 pm, with the concert at 7 pm. Tickets are $125 and available at DoorCountyLandTrust.org.
The event is sponsored in part by Woodwalk Galllery owners Jillaine Burton Seefeldt and Andrew Seefeldt who generously offered the location and chef Scott McEvoy of McEvoy’s Culinaria who is sponsoring a portion of the dinner. Sangria, wine, beverages and desserts are sponsored by Land Trust members and their board of directors.
Executive Director Tom Clay said, “Events like these show how the nature of Door County infuses every aspect of art, music and local life. Musicians bring such emotion to the beauty all around us—no one will leave the show without a greater appreciation for the land and waters around us.”
Proceeds from the event are used to support land protections efforts. The Land Trust has recently completed the acquisition of 120 acres at the Gibraltar-Ephraim Swamp.
