Door County Land Trust Offers Free Hikes on Washington Island

The Door County Land Trust is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and as part of the celebrations, it is offering free, guided hikes at three Washington Island Land Trust nature preserves on Saturday, May 14.

Hike leaders will greet hikers at the Little Lake Nature Preserve, the Domer-Neff Nature Preserve and Bird Sanctuary, and the Richter Community Forest Preserve trailheads and lead tours that will last approximately 60 – 90 minutes.

The Domer-Neff and Richter preserve hikes are easy and on level terrain. The Little Lake hike is moderately difficult on rough terrain. Hikes will be held rain or shine.

Hikes will begin at 1 pm at the Little Lake Nature Preserve and the Domer-Neff Nature Preserve and at 3 pm at the Little Lake Nature Preserve and the Richter Community Forest. Directions to the trailheads are available on the Door County Land Trust website: http://www.doorcountylandtrust.org. Pre-registration is appreciated but not required.
