Door County Learning in Retirement Fall Class Kick-Off

It’s fall Kick-Off Time for Learning in Retirement here in Door County. The fall catalog of classes should be in mailboxes, as well as available at various places around the county. On Wednesday, August 20, 2008, people are invited to attend the Kick-Off at 10 am at the NWTC commons area.

Door County Learning In Retirement is a volunteer organization working with NWTC to provide educational, recreational and social opportunities for approximately 350 older adults in the area. The cost is $50 for a whole year.

Registration for fall courses begins at 10 am. There will be a short presentation detailing courses from 11 – 11:30 that day. Come and enjoy the company and conversation of others who are ready to start a new semester of “Appreciating the Arts,” “Enjoying Hobbies, Skills, and Crafts,” “Expanding Knowledge,” and “Exploring Senior Issues.”

Read the catalog and look over the 62 class choices while enjoying coffee and treats at NWTC. Join Learning in Retirement and learn fascinating things about the world around you and yourself.
