Door County Maritime Museum Names 2017 Merry-Time Festival of Trees ‘Smashing Success’

Door County Maritime Museum’s Merry-Time Festival of Trees Jingle, Jingle, Mix & Mingle event saw one of the largest turnouts in its six-year history. The event, held Dec. 12, served as the culmination for the month-long Merry-Time Festival in which the Sturgeon Bay museum is filled with trees and wreaths sponsored by individuals, local businesses and organizations. This year 37 trees and wreaths were raffled off.

“It’s always fun to see our visitors, especially families, come into the museum to see the trees and hopefully catch some early holiday spirit,” said Door County Maritime Museum’s Executive Director Amy Paul.

The event has grown over the past years to become one of the museum’s three most visible community outreach and fundraising events, joining Door County Lighthouse Festival and Door County Classic & Wooden Boat Festival. The Door County Maritime Museum and staff are very grateful to all who donated, volunteered and attended to make this year’s Jingle Mixer a smashing success.
