The Door County Maritime Museum (DCMM) is recruiting energetic volunteers who are excited to learn about maritime history and share it with museum visitors. Volunteer docents bring the exhibits and history to life through leading tours and telling guests about Door County’s maritime history. These opportunities create long-lasting impressions on museum guests, ensuring each guest has an enriching and educational experience while visiting the museum. Museum staff provides all necessary instruction and hands-on training.
DCMM is open seven days a week from 9 am to 5 pm with tours scheduled as early as 8:30 am. For more information on becoming a docent or volunteering at the museum, call volunteer coordinator Melinda Johnson at 920.743.5958 or stop by the museum at 120 N. Madison Avenue, Sturgeon Bay.
