Door County Master Gardeners Presentation on Mushrooms

The Door County Master Gardeners Association is sponsoring a program by Charlotte Lukes at the Crossroads at Big Creek on September 23. The program is about the Mushrooms of Door County.

Charlotte Lukes has been studying the wild mushrooms of Door County since 1972. Her records of fungi and mushrooms in Door County have resulted in some 540 species being identified. She has conducted workshops, classes and hikes about wild mushrooms for numerous years. The program will feature many pictures of these mushrooms taken by Charlotte and her husband Roy Lukes, a well-known naturalist.

The program starts at 7 pm and is open to the public and free. Please bring a friend or relative along and mark your calendars for September 23.
