Door County Medical Center Celebrated National Donate Life Month

Door County Medical Center (DCMC) celebrated National Donate Life Month April 2 by participating in the statewide Pause to Give Life event with a flag raising ceremony and moment of silence.

Donate Life Wisconsin created the Pause to Give Life event to honor donors and their families and promote the mission of organ, tissue and eye donation. This statewide observance takes place annually on the first Monday of April.

DCMC employees Deb Eisen and Mary Bongle, who have been touched by organ donation, raised the flag in front of a group of about 40 fellow employees and community members. Scott Bader, kidney recipient, shared his sentiments with the group as he approaches his second anniversary of the gift of life. For more information visit DonateLifeWisconsin.org.
