Door County Medical Center Receives Grant to Expand Dental Clinic Services

The Delta Dental of Wisconsin Foundation (DDWF) and the Door County Medical Center (DCMC) have announced a partnership to expand the dental clinic’s services. A $35,000 DDWF grant will provide funding for a fifth operatory room, which will give DCMC space to see more patients. The clinic serves more than 5,000 youth and adults each year, but prior to this expansion, about 100 people were on a waiting list.

The DCMC Dental Clinic in Sturgeon Bay is a nonprofit clinic that has been providing oral health care to the underserved since 1999. It’s the only clinic in a two-county area that provides care to youth, adults and seniors who are low income, on Medicaid/BadgerCare Plus or disabled. Dental services include cleanings, exams, X-rays, fluoride treatment, restorations, root canals, fillings, crowns, extractions, sealants, fluoride varnish and education.
