Door County Medical Center Revisits Visitor Restrictions

Door County Medical Center (DCMC) recently revised its visitor restrictions, but the DCMC Pete and Jelaine Horton Skilled Nursing Facility continues to restrict all visitation. At this time, only compassionate-care visitation is allowed there at the discretion of the administration.

Visitor restrictions are in place under the direction of the Department of Health Services and with guidance from the CDC. Visitors who are allowed to enter must follow visitation protocols, which are explained upon entry, including health screening and wearing personal protective equipment for the entire visit. The visitor-restriction policy has been in place since March and will continue for the foreseeable future to protect DCMC’s most vulnerable population.
