Door County Municipal News: April 29 – May 5

City of Sturgeon Bay: The Common Council meets at noon on May 3. The Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Board meets at 4 pm on May 5. 

County of Door: The Property Committee meets at 10 am on May 4. The Highway Safety Committee meets at 9 am on May 5. The Resource Planning Committee will hold an organizational meeting that will include electing a chair and vice chair at 2 pm on May 5; the committee will also discuss whether the county zoning ordinance should regulate fence construction material and maximum height.

Town of Brussels: Open Book with the assessor will be held 5-8 pm on May 4 at the Brussels Community Center.

Town of Egg Harbor: Open Book with the assessor will be held from noon to 2 pm on May 7. 

Town of Forestville: Open Book will be held from 2 to 4 pm on May 6.

Town of Gibraltar: The Harbor Commission meets at 7:30 am on May 3. The town board meets at 7 pm on May 4.

Town of Jacksonport: Open Book will be held at 9 am on May 7.

Town of Liberty Grove: The Personnel Committee meets at 6:15 pm on May 4, followed by the town board meeting at 7 pm.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College will hold an open house at the town hall from 10 am to 2 pm to discuss a potential northern Door learning center/small business assistance facility. There will also be mobile learning labs on hand and hands-on educational activities for children.

Town of Sevastopol: The annual road tour/inspection will take place beginning at 8 am on May 7. 

Village of Egg Harbor: The Library Ad Hoc Committee meets at 1 pm on May 2. The Harbor Committee meets at 10 am on May 4. Open Book will be held from 3 to 5 pm on May 7.

Beginning May 4, the village recycling center will be open Wednesdays from 7 to 10 am, in addition to Saturdays from 9 am to noon.

Village of Ephraim: The Wastewater Committee meets at 9 am on May 2. A meeting with a representative from the Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue regarding the issuance of wine and beer licenses in the village will be held at 6 pm on May 2. Audio of the meeting will be posted on the village’s community news page.

Village of Sister Bay: The Parks Committee will meet at 2 pm on May 4.
