Door County Named Top Retirement Destination

Door County has been selected a top retirement destination by Where to Retire, the only magazine in America geared toward helping people with retirement relocation decisions. Door County is one of eight selections profiled in a feature titled “8 Fishing Cities: Great Lures Across the U.S.” in the July/August issue.

Where to Retire Editor Annette Fuller said these eight cities, including those in Door County, appeal to retirees who dream of spending their days out on the water. “Our eight locales offer a full range of fishing, from fly, ice, freshwater and saltwater. Typically, cities with good fishing have other appealing outdoor adventures – hiking and biking trails, national parks and festivals, to name a few, all set against the natural beauty of the area,” Fuller said.
