Door County Native James Mihaley to Lead Storytelling Session

Write On, Door County presents a special opportunity to discover your inner storyteller with visiting writer James Mihaley. “Discover the Storyteller in You!” is presented Aug. 2, 1 – 4 pm at the Door County Community Center/Aging and Disability Resource Center, 916 N. 14th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay. This program is presented free and, while intended especially for seniors, all ages are welcome.

“This is not a writing class. It is much simpler! We will sit in a circle and tell stories from our hearts, stories from the past, stories that evoke laughter, tears, heroic stories, family stories, stories that deserve to be told, shared with the world, stories of your personal journey, your adventures on this planet,” said author James Mihaley of the program.

Mihaley grew up in Door County and currently resides in Los Angeles. He is a certified yoga instructor and poet and the author of The New Yogi Manifesto. Mihaley is also an award-winning children’s author, published by Macmillan. He incorporates humor into everything he does and has great faith in the power of laughter.
