Door County Opera Festival Hosts Fundraiser

Door County Opera Festival (DCOF) Artistic Director Scott Ramsay will be joined by his long-time musical companion, Stephanie “Martens” Seefeldt in a night of music from Broadway, the silver screen and everything else in between for the DCOF’s fundraiser on July 8 at the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church. Seefeldt has a thriving career in the contemporary Christian music field.

Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church is located at 836 Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay. The concert will begin at 7 pm and is open to the public. Tickets available at the door for $20.

The DCOF will also present Burning Desires, a selection of scenes from two major operatic works, Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Gounod’s Faust. Beginning with the dark comedy of Don Giovanni, audience members will have a chance to experience the path of destruction this Don Juan creates as he turns his life over to the desires of his flesh. In Faust, the audience will discover the consequences of making a deal with the devil.

The performance will be held on July 30 at 7:30 pm at the Ephraim Village Hall, located at 9996 Water Street. Tickets are $20 in advance by calling the Door Community Auditorium at 920.868.2728 or by visiting http://www.dcauditorium.org. Tickets are also available at the door for $25.
