Flu vaccine clinics were recently set by the Door County public health department to take place throughout the county. Rhonda Kolberg, Door County Health Officer, stated, “Each flu season, different flu viruses can spread. Getting vaccinated against the flu every season protects against the three influenza viruses that research indicates will cause the most illness this season.”
Participants should wear clothing with short sleeves to the clinics. There will be a $30 fee for adults. All children aged 6 months through 18 years are eligible for free state-supplied vaccine as long as supplies last. For adults with Medicare, Part B covers the cost of the vaccine; and individuals with Traditional Medicare should bring their Medicare cards.
