Door County Public Health Department Sets Flu Vaccine Clinics

Flu vaccine clinics have been set by the Door County Public Health Department. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), everyone six months and older should get a flu vaccine this fall. The health department will give the quadrivalent vaccine this year, which includes protection from four different viruses.

There will be a $36 fee for the vaccine for adults. For adults with Medicare, Part B covers the cost of the vaccine; and individuals with Traditional Medicare are requested to bring their Medicare cards to the clinic site.

Flu clinics for adults are: Oct. 6, 10-11:30 am & 1-2:30 pm, Washington Island Community Center; Oct. 7, 11am-12pm, Baileys Harbor Town Hall; Oct. 11, 4-5:30pm, Door County Government Center – Peninsula Room; Oct. 12, 1-2pm, Senior Resource Center; Oct. 13, 5-6pm, Brussels Community Center; Oct. 14, 11am-12pm, Liberty Grove Town Hall.

Flu vaccine clinics for children are made by appointment. To schedule a time, call 920.746.2234.

Flu vaccines are also available for adults and children at regularly scheduled immunization clinics, September through May, at the Door County Health Department.
