Door County Reads 2018 Announces Book and Author

Door County Reads 2018 will host an National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Big Read author and book when residents of Door County are once again invited to read one book and get together to discuss the book and subject. Copies of The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir by Kao Kalia Yang will be available at Door County libraries starting Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, while supplies last.

The book is also available free online, as an audiobook or to read on your electronic device, with a Door County library card through Hoopla Digital. Visit the Downloadable Library on the Door County Library website at and sign up to use Hoopla.

Starting Dec. 15, visit for information and details about all planned events. The Door County Reads 2018 Kick-off Celebration starts at 2 pm at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek on Jan. 28, 2018. All Door County Reads events are free and open to the public.
