Friday, Jan. 31

• Hometown Writing, led by Jerod Santek, artistic director of Write On, Door County. Through guided exercises, you’ll discover how to tap into memories of certain locations and discover the stories those towns have to tell, 10-11:30 am, Baileys Harbor Library, 2392 Cty F. 

• Third Avenue Playhouse’s play reading of Marjorie Prime, 7:30 pm, 239 N. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay.

Monday, Feb. 3

• Peninsula Players’ play reading of Popcorn Falls, 7 pm, Björklunden, 7590 Boynton Lane in Baileys Harbor. 

Tuesday, Feb. 4

• Multicultural book club discussing Virgil Wander; both participants and listeners are welcome, 1 pm, Sturgeon Bay Library, 107 S. 4th Ave.

• Film screening and book discussion moderated by Chris Opper, 4 pm, Egg Harbor Library at the Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St. in Egg Harbor.

• Book discussion of Virgil Wander facilitated by Tina Kakuske and the East Maplewood and Maplewood Homemakers Clubs; both participants and listeners are welcome, 7 pm, Forestville Town Hall, 7705 Cty H. 

Wednesday, Feb. 5

• Door County Speaks demonstration: Learn about the new Door County Speaks oral-history kits, which will be available for checkout at every Door County Library branch starting in the spring, 10:30 am, Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Library, 2323 Mill Road in Sister Bay.

• Book discussion of Virgil Wander facilitated by Laura Hale; both participants and listeners are welcome, 11 am, Washington Island Library, 910 Main Road.

Thursday, Feb. 6

• Children’s readers-theater performance of Fishing for Methuselah, directed by Lola DeVillers, 4 pm, Sturgeon Bay Library, 107 S. 4th Ave.

Friday, Feb. 7

• Katie Dahl in concert, performing covers of Bob Dylan, 6 pm (doors open at 5 pm), Union Supper Pub, 23 W. Oak St. in Sturgeon Bay.
