Door County Reads Finale

A finale to Door County Reads will include a Family Space Race Fair and Viewing Night at the Astronomy Campus on Feb. 14. The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will help celebrate the amazing accomplishments, goals and adventurous spirit of the days that America sent a man to the moon. Weather permitting, there will be an outdoor demonstration of rocket launching. Also, Friends of the Library, Friends of Crossroads and the Door County Historical society will share music, memorabilia and flavors of the 50s and 60s. All participants will make simple, nostalgic Valentine crafts. Free and open to learners of all ages. That night, at 7 pm, the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will hold a Viewing Night at the Astronomy Campus. If skies are clear, visitors can enjoy the romance of the sky. Use the Utah Street Entrance to reach the StarGarden and Leif Everson Observatory. This event is free and open to the public.
