Door County Reads “The Beekeeper’s Apprentice”

In a continuation of the very popular “Door County Reads” program, folks throughout the entire county will once again be encouraged to read, think about, share and discuss the same book. The chosen “read” for 2013 is Laurie R. King’s mystery, The Beekeeper’s Apprentice. This finely crafted novel is a classic mystery and the first in a series featuring an unlikely partnership between the very Victorian Sherlock Holmes and a girl at the dawn of the modern age.

Programming will include presentations, musical performances, book discussions, theatrical events, film showings, an online interview with author Laurie King, as well as geo-caching adventures; all culminating in a Honey Fest.

Free copies of The Beekeeper’s Apprentice are available at Door County Libraries while supplies last. Take a look at the listings below for a sample of activities related to the book. For more information visit http://www.doorcountyreads.org.
